The NAMIBIAN Constitution (from a Biblical Perspective)

CHAPTER 1:

Foundation & Establishment

¹¹For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ¹²Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ¹³You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. ¹⁴I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you, declare the Lord, and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV).

¹⁷Jesus replied, blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. ¹⁸And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. ¹⁹I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:17-19 NIV). The resistance of the enemy to maintain his ground will not prevail against us! As we share these things with people, the enemy will not prevail in his efforts to keep them ignorant and deceived concerning their true identity revealed in Jesus Christ!

God had a plan and purpose for Namibia before the foundations of the world.  ⁴Long ago, even before He made the world, God chose us to be His very own through what Christ would do for us; He decided then to make us holy in His eyes, without a single fault – we who stand before Him covered with His love (Ephesians 1:4 TLB).

His plan; His purpose; every word and prophesy spoken over Namibia are “Yes” and “Amen” – it will come to pass! ²⁰He carries out and fulfills all of God’s promises, no matter how many of them there are; and we have told everyone how faithful He is, giving glory to His name. ²¹It is this God who made you and me into faithful Christians and commissioned us apostles to preach the good news. ²²He has put His brand (seal) upon us – His mark of ownership – and given us His Holy Spirit in our hearts as guarantee that we belong to Him and as the first installment of all that He is going to give us (2 Corinthians 1:20-22 TLB).

Namibia is God’s footprint.  A footprint which is even evident and visible in the framework and borders of the Namibian map.  ³I have given you every place on which the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised to Moses (Joshua 1:3 AMP). ²¹This suffering is all part of the work God has given you. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in His steps (1 Peter 2:21 TLB). ⁷How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those who bring the happy news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns (Isaiah 52:7 TLB).

Namibia will be a sanctuary and a place of refuge like the town Zoar. ⁸Have them build a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them. ⁹You shall construct it in accordance with everything that I Am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture (Exodus 25:8-9 AMP).  ²⁰See, the village is close by and it is just a small one. Please, please let me go there instead. Don’t you see how small it is? ²¹All right; the Angel said; I accept your proposition and won’t destroy that little city, ²²But hurry! For I can do nothing until you are there,” (from that time on that village was named Zoar, meaning “little city” (Genesis 19:20-22 TLB).

Namibia will be the breadbasket and a bridge for nations. ²Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out; lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep. ³For you will spread out to the right and to the left and your descendants will dispossess nations and inhabit the desolate cities. ⁶For the Lord has called you, like a wife deserted and wounded in spirit, a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected, says the Lord. ¹³All your children will be taught by the Lord, their prosperity will be great, ¹⁴and you will be established on a foundation of righteousness. You will be far from oppression, you will certainly not be afraid, you will be far from terror, it will certainly not come near you (Isaiah 54:2-3; 6; 13-14 CSB).

The Glory of the Lord is upon the nation of Namibia. As we read these promises, we long for their fulfilment.  But we must patiently wait for God’s timing – His timing is as important as His anointing.  God is in control of history, and He weaves all our lives together into His plan.

¹Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you. ²Darkness as black as night shall cover all the people of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you. ³All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you. ⁴Lift up your eyes and see! For your sons and daughters are coming home to you from distant lands. ⁵Your eyes will shine with joy, your hearts will thrill, for merchants from around the world will flow to you, bringing you the wealth of many lands. ⁶Vast droves of camels will converge upon you, dromedaries from Midian and Sheba and Ephah too, bringing gold and incense to add to the praise of God. ⁷The flocks of Kedar shall be given you, and the rams of Nabaioth for my altars, and I will glorify my glorious Temple in that day. ⁸And who are these who fly like a cloud to Israel, like doves to their nests? ⁹I have reserved the ships of many lands, the very best, to bring the sons of Israel home again from far away, bringing their wealth with them. For the Holy One of Israel, known around the world, has glorified you in the eyes of all. ¹⁰Foreigners will come and build your cities. Presidents and kings will send you aid. For though I destroyed you in my anger, I will have mercy on you through my grace. ¹¹Your gates will stay wide open around the clock to receive the wealth of many lands. The kings of the world will cater to you. ¹²For the nations refusing to be your allies will perish; they shall be destroyed. ¹³The glory of Lebanon will be yours—the forests of firs, pines, and box trees—to beautify my sanctuary. My Temple will be glorious. ¹⁴The sons of anti-Semites will come and bow before you! They will kiss your feet! They will call Jerusalem ‘The City of the Lord’ and ‘The Glorious Mountain of the Holy One of Israel’. ¹⁵Though once despised and hated and rebuffed by all, you will be beautiful forever, a joy for all the generations of the world, for I will make you so. ¹⁶Powerful kings and mighty nations shall provide you with the choicest of their goods to satisfy your every need, and you will know at last and really understand that I, the Lord, am your Savior and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel. ¹⁷I will exchange your brass for gold, your iron for silver, your wood for brass, your stones for iron. Peace and righteousness shall be your taskmasters! ¹⁸Violence will disappear out of your land—all war will end. Your walls will be 'Salvation’ and your gates ‘Praise’. ¹⁹No longer will you need the sun or moon to give you light, for the Lord your God will be your everlasting light, and He will be your glory. ²⁰Your sun shall never set; the moon shall not go down—for the Lord will be your everlasting light; your days of mourning all will end. ²¹All your people will be good. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands; this will bring me glory. ²²The smallest family shall multiply into a clan; the tiny group shall be a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will bring it all to pass when it is time (Isaiah 60:1-22 TLB).

This country, Namibia, is an ancient well that needs to be unlocked. Joy and the fruit of redemption is your portion, Namibia - a vision of beauty and encouragement for this nation. God is just as complete in His mercy as He is severe in His judgment.  God’s complete moral perfection is revealed by His hatred for sin, and this leads to judgment.  This same moral perfection is revealed in His love for all He has created.  This leads to mercy for those who have been less than perfect but who have sincerely loved and obeyed Him.

¹The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, ²it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.  The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.  ³Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; ⁴say to those with fearful hearts, be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you. ⁵Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.  ⁶Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. ⁷The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.  ⁸And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.  ⁹No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, ¹⁰and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away (Isaiah 35:1-10 NIV).
